Texas Bluebonnet Landscape Painting

This is an 8"x10" watercolor that I just finished. It's an old Texas country cabin, with sheets hanging on the line and bluebonnets blooming along the path. It's a little different than most of my Texas landscapes, because usually I plant a big Live Oak tree in the foreground. This one is simpler and more stylized than usual. I wanted to convey some of the simple, plain scenes that we sometimes still see in rural Texas.

RoseAnn I like the composition and your simplified approach to your landscape. Your palette is always so peacefully harmonious to me :) I'll have to visit your blog - thanks for visiting mine!
