A portrait of Helen of Troy. She was married to Menelaus, King of Sparta. She was promised to a Trojan prince, Paris, by Aphrodite - some stories say she was abducted by him, some that she went willingly. In either case, it was the catalyst for the Trojan war.

A portrait of a pretty blonde girl in a red raincoat.
This is a commissioned piece. My buyer purchased a painting that I did in a similar fashion, earlier this year, but it had yellow narcissus. She decided she wanted two more to all blend together.
She's thrilled with how this turned out - just the way she had pictured it. The far left pink poppy will be the color of the third painting of tulips.
