Texas Landscape Painting with Live Oak Trees and Bluebonnets

I finally got around to making some prints. I found a printer, not too far away, that makes really pretty prints on Futura 100 lb semi-gloss paper. I love them! I decided to start with my favorite landscape, that I painted years ago. The colors on the prints are even brighter and stronger than the colors on the original painting!

The Beautiful Satyr ACEO

2.5 x 3.5 inches, watercolour and gouache, 2008.
A beautiful satyr, a half man/half goat and mythical woodland creature.

Ganymede's Offering

5 x 7 inches, watercolour and gouache, 2008.
This is my second entry in the 2008 Ripped Off show. It's a rip of J. Michael McCrackens "Ganymede". I chose this piece for the classical theme and the pose of the figure. I went back and used the original stock photo from Felix D'eon and then created my own version of the painting. Ganymede was a Trojan, and very handsome. He was kidnapped by Zeus and taken to Mount Olympus to be his lover and cupbearer.

Icon

5 x 7 inches, watercolour and gold ink, 2008.
An icon is an image of a religious figure. This is not meant to be any saint in particular - the figure seemed to suggest a kind of religious suffering so that is what he became.

"whispers only"

Watercolor 13 x 10 inches on Favini 150lbs artist's paper - Winsor & Newton artist Paints.

Taking inspiration from Patience's art works has been very exiting because her art works are so various that each one could have been the good-one.
I ended onto this three ballet dancers, like Patience I love dance and the "bohemienne" air you breath in theatres.
I liked also Patience's hand ability in sculpting with the papier mache.
I was impressed by those three masks, very similar to those used in the ancient Greek theatre's representations.
I mixed this two subject and I'm really
