Young King Henry

A portrait of Henry VIII in his late twenties. He was described as "the most handsome potentate I have ever set eyes upon" by a Venetian ambassador and was tall, well built and athletic. He tends to be remembered as the large obese ogre he became later in life.

Edward VI

A portrait of the son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. He became King in 1547, aged 9, and died in 1553.
