Shasta Daisies

This morning I was inspired to paint a bouquet of Shasta Daisies. Then I was faced with the decision of what size to paint them, and finally decided the painting needed to be at least 5x7 inches so they could really 'show their stuff'. I chose a deep midnight blue for the background which required two washes and a mix of several colors.

Love that background result you got from the washes. I appreciate you sharing that insight into your process, and that pot is authentically copper!
