Roses and Crystal

Another DPW Challenge.  This one was take a Black and White photo and color it, keeping the values the same:


It was an interesting challenge, as most of them are.  I use this process a lot when I'm painting, but I also cropped and edit photos, often using more than one to combine into one painting.  Sticking to the photo as it exists and not changing the elements was the challenge for me.

I love what you've done with that photo. This piece feels very Victorian to me. Almost makes me think I'm looking out a window at an antique shop.
Speaking of windows: The effect here is great!

My favorite part is the background beyond the window, too. Lovely work, and I always look for the good backgrounds. Congrats for sticking to the challenge. You did alot better than I did!
