Painting from the Model

I love to paint the figure whenever I get the chance. My artist friend Kamillia organizes a model to come to her studio. About 6 other people can fit in the space to paint, and we all contribute to pay the model. 16 x 16

Wow Hillary! what a beautiful painting. The somber expression, the luminous colors, and a very effective composition.
Ya done good!

Very nice, Hillary. How long did you have to paint her?

Theresa, thank you very much. I must say that using Quin. Gold in place of yellow ochre seems to increase the luminous quality.

Thanks Kathy. I'm not sure, but this pose was maybe about 2 to 2 1/2 hours including a few breaks? Since I'm not in charge I haven't paid too much attention, except to ask, near the end, "how much time left?" so I can try and wrap it up to some conclusion!
