Today I decided to take a break from landscapes and paint one of my favorite subjects. These are all common American butterflies that you might see in your yard or garden. The size of this piece is 7.5 x 10 inches. Elaine (Lanie)
Even though it's an even number of butterflies with a symmetrical composition, it works very well! The large butterfly dominates the group, and the variety in color breaks the symmetry. Well done!
