Psyche ACEO

Jealous of the beauty of Psyche, Aphrodite instructs Eros to cause Psyche to fall in love with the ugliest creature on the earth. However, he falls in love with Psyche himself, and takes her away to his home.

I Still Believe in Magic

Eros ACEO

The Story Book after William Bouguereau
I painted with a friend today who encouraged me to give this a try. It's after The Story Book by William Adolphe Bouguereau. It was really fun. A great exercise. 11 x 7.5 on Arches 140 lb. cold press paper.
Diomedes ACEO
ACEO, 2.5 x 3.5 inches, watercolour and gouache, 2008.
Diomedes is another of the heroes of the Trojan war. He was King of Argos, and one of the suitors of Helen. He is great friends with Odysseus and both are favoured by the goddess Athena. Later in the war they steal the Palladium (a statue of Athena) after they have been told that Troy will not fall until the statue has left it's walls. He was also one of the warriors hidden in the Trojan horse.

ACEO, 2.5 x 3.5 inches, watercolour and gouache, 2008.Andromache is another character from David Gemmell's Troy novel, Lord of the Silver Bow. She is strong, feisty, proud and bisexual, as well as being nifty with a bow and arrow. She has strong feelings for Helikaon though she has been promised to his friend Hector, a prince of Troy.
