Physalis


8 x 11 inches, watercolor, 2009.

A painting of Physalis or Cape Gooseberries, as they are also known. They look like little orange tomatoes enclosed in a papery cage and taste as sweet as strawberries.

    I never knew what they were called! Awww they I used to pick them in my childhood so lovely :)
